iCloudHosting’s cloud infrastructure is designed for robustness & scale.

Our network (Internet AS57168) is built from the ground up purely on Juniper equipment. The design philosophy is to maintain a concurrently available system, which means that every component is duplicated in an active-active setup. We are one of the few companies in the UK to be able to boast that we’re not dependent on Docklands for connectivity.

Key benefits:

  • Active-Active concurrently available dual path setup
  • Juniper carrier-grade equipment
  • Independent resilience from Docklands E14
  • Low hop count and low latency design

Our Data Centers

We own and operate clouds in a number of data centres around the world. The strategic locations ensure we provide services with true geographic separation, as well as enabling our clients to provision services that address the US market.

Network Map
  • London, UK

Our primary data centre is tier 4 aligned and fully resilient. It is located north of the city centre in Hemel Hempstead, just minutes from our office.

  • Midlands, UK

Our second UK site is located south of Birmingham, in the Midlands. This position gives a separation between our two UK sites of 114km (70 miles).

  • East Coast, USA

We have replicated our UK Cloud infrastructure in the US and maintain our policy of owning all equipment and operating our own network in the data centre.

Independent Performance Testing

Our network was tested in February 2012 against Rackspace Cloud, Amazon EC2, and seven other cloud providers by CloudHarmony, an independent metrics provider. The results speak for themselves; we had both the best latency and highest download speeds of all networks tested.
